The Grand Mimosa

January 6, 2026
If you've ever made a standard mimosa and thought *something's missing* — this is probably what you were reaching for. The Grand Mimosa takes the classic two-ingredient formula and adds a pour of Grand Marnier, the French Cognac-based orange liqueur, and the difference is immediately noticeable. Richer. Warmer. More occasion-worthy.
It's not a complicated drink, but it feels like one. The orange flavor goes from bright and fresh to layered and a little boozy in the best possible way — the kind of thing you'd order at a good hotel brunch and wonder why you don't make it at home more often.
Ingredients: - 3 oz Champagne or sparkling wine - 2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice - 1 oz Grand Marnier - Orange twist for garnish
Instructions: Pour the Grand Marnier into a champagne flute first. Add the fresh orange juice. Top slowly with chilled champagne, pouring over the back of a spoon if you want to keep it from foaming over. Express an orange twist over the glass — that little mist of citrus oil on the surface makes a real difference — and drape it on the rim. Drink immediately.
